Our work continues on something BIG that we hope to share with you in the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime let me also share what comes up on our minds at about this same time every year.

The holidays are coming – and the needs, stress, and pressures can be intense.

The cold weather is coming – and winter clothing is an extra expense, especially when last year’s coat, if there was one, doesn’t fit your child anymore.

Thanksgiving will soon be upon us – and it can be hard enough to have food on the table for regular meals, much less for what is meant to be a day when our nation feasts together.

And we all know Christmas is right around the corner – that day when no parent wants to be the one who doesn’t have gifts under a tree for their children.

For many, these are joyous and exciting times.

For many others, these times are actually dreaded because they become such stark reminders of what is lacking.

Yes – we are presently planning on how to walk together through the coming months, but right now this is simply a call to think about and pray for those for whom, for whatever reason, the coming holidays bring a heavy heart.
