Many people know the joy of a good day at work – both in being productive and in earning a living.

But what happens when opportunities are hard to find? When your network of family and friends provide only limited possibilities?

Many times the jobs might be available, but the difficulty is connecting employers with potential employees.

Faith and Work Enterprises is in the process of starting “Phase 2” of our mission, which includes providing a workforce development program to help residents attain career-path employment (more on that on a later date!). But sometimes even temporary employment can help.

Right now, through a partnership with a local construction company, nineteen young men are returning home satisfied each day, since mid-July, having worked hard and with purpose and having earned their own living. It may be only temporary for the time-being, but it paves the way for more opportunities in the future while also providing a “good day at work” right now.
