Residents grew tired when trash had been piling up for two weeks and rats weren’t afraid to wander around even in the daylight. While many in Baltimore felt minor disruptions in sanitation service due to the effects of Covid-19, it almost felt as though the Sandtown-Winchester community was experiencing the worst of it.

Thankfully, the City responded. Within four days of meeting with us on site in the community, the City had their dedicated workers cleaning up the neglected refuse and back on a better schedule.

We are thankful for partners at every level that contribute to a better community.
