Back-to-School Event 2022
Thanks to donations from individuals, congregations, DTLR, and Orphan Grain Train, for our 5th annual Back-to-School event we were able to provide well over 300 backpacks filled with school supplies and countless uniform pants to children in Sandtown-Winchester as they were preparing to begin the new school year.
It was an absolutely beautiful day on August 27, as the community came together, not only for school supplies, but for hot dogs, cotton candy, and popcorn, as well as music, fun in a bounce house, and rides on a pony. All at no cost, of course. All this was made possible by volunteers from the community (including local youth), board members (including one who provided free haircuts!), staff, and other supporters like you.
