Sometimes walking together simply means walking together.

Each time a disturbing video is shown in the media depicting harm to a Black person, the community now feels the trauma.
Real pain.
Real fear.
Real anger.
Real frustration.
Real confusion.

And each time, there is no way to promise that it won’t happen again.
And there is no way to promise that it won’t happen again, here.

Sometimes all anyone can do is to simply be present. Feeling many of the same feelings. But doing so together.

It doesn’t fix anything. But, somehow, sometimes, it seems to help.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Faith and Work, that we might sometimes simply be present – and in so doing, being present with us.
